"Shania Twain" on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. This public program is funded by The Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Seating and parking are limited and on a first-come first-served basis. No tickets are required. Enjoy an hour of best-selling hits by the ultimate country/pop female singer & songwriter, Shania Twain, Learn about her life & career while hearing songs like: "Man, I Feel Like A Woman," "You're Still the One," "From This Moment On," and "That Don't Impress Me Much." Rob & Patty were the First Place Winners of Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing Dance competition in July 2007. This show will treat the audience to a lively swing dance demo.
Rob and Patty met on the dance floor on Patty's birthday in July 2003, and it was instant magic. They were on stage together within weeks, and have been making beautiful music together ever since. They were married on March 31, 2006 and share the same careers as elementary school teachers. They have performed at many local venues including charity events, fairs and festivals, public libraries and playhouses.
