When Keith Urban's new video for his latest single, "Sweet Thing" is released in January, you will notice a vintage Ford Mustang woven throughout the video. And yes, it's Keith's. "Monty (Powell) and I were writing the song, and we needed a car reference in the second verse," said Urban. "She (the car) provided a spark not only for the song, but for the video, even though the song obviously isn't about my car...We really had a blast making this video, and I can't wait for everyone to see it."
The lyrics within the second verse to which Keith was referring? "I know I'm going to see you first thing tomorrow/But I just couldn't wait/So I had to borrow Uncle Jake's Mustang/It's his favourite car and so I can't stay long." The video was directed by Trey Fanjoy, who also collaborated with Urban on several videos, including "Raining On Sunday" and "Somebody Like You", and shot just outside Nashville at the Middle Tennessee Research & Education Center in Spring Hill.
