Shania's team has decided that the 2010 fan club kits will be a mix of items. Each kit that is sent will potentially be different. Much like the grab bag promotion we recently held, the 2010 physical fan club kits will be assembled from a mix of newly uncovered warehouse items (what we refer to as "new old stock"), as well as some new items that became available. We'll also be offering certain items that have never been available to fans internationally. This will be exclusive to Shania's fan club members.
Each kit will potentially be different. Fans won't necessarily receive the same items. It depends on what the warehouse has in stock at the time of the order.
If you've already subscribed in 2010, we've dispatched an email to you asking for your shirt size. All new subscribers and 2010 renewals will now have the ability to select their shirt size when purchasing a new or renewal membership.
In an age where most online fan clubs have stopped doing physical merchandise as a feature of the club, Shania's team wanted to maintain the tradition of providing gifts as part of a fan club membership. The team had considered manufacturing some new low-cost items, but instead chose to share higher quality, higher priced items that had already been manufactured. Each "kit" this year will include products with a minimum retail value of $20. Most will be valued higher than that.
There is also an effort in place to enhance the value of the online features of your fan club membership. The 2010 fan club is going to have additional online features including more and better quality video for fans to log in and watch (including high quality, full screen music videos), and a set of exclusive downloads that will be online in the coming weeks. These downloads will include never before available items such as Shania screensavers for your computer! This will also be a first for the Shania Fan Club.
The plan for this years kits is different from years past, but everyone on Shania's team thinks this will offer the most value for your fan club dollar while the inventory remains available.
