I guess we need to ask Shania to join. She isn't on the list. Yet she is in the title of the article.
TwitChange: Eva Longoria, Shania Twain or Lenny Kravitz Will Retweet You
Would you bid on a chance to be followed, mentioned or retweeted by your favorite celebrity?
Then check out the TwitChange celebrity charity auction and win a chance to interact with someone famous, like Eva Longoria, Shania Twain or Lenny Kravitz, via twitter.
Whether or not a retweet by a tabloid personage strikes your fancy, your bid will be funding a worthwhile cause.
All the proceeds of TwitChange go to Operation Once in a Lifetime, an organization that provides financial support and morale boosts to U.S. soldiers and their families.
Created by soldiers for soldiers, the charity helps ensure soldiers' homes aren't foreclosed, their electricity stays on, and their families are safe and healthy.
The celebrity spokesperson for the campaign is Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu.
The cause hits home for Polamalu. His grandfather, as well as several uncles and cousins, have served in the armed forces. “I experienced first-hand tragedies, psychological and emotional effects of war through my own family members,” Polamalu said in an e-mail. One of Polamalu’s cousins was deeply affected by “Gulf War Syndrome” upon returning from combat. He eventually died.
The auction starts on January 30, and a slew of celebs are already signed up. If you don't see your favorite musician, actor or sports star on the site, there is a way to ask them to join.
The previous TwitChange produced more than 30 million hits in 30 days and raised nearly half a million dollars to build a home for disabled children in Haiti.
