I think it was a belief that Mutt had been practising for many years before even meeting Shania and he introduced her to when they got together. If I remember right it was an Indian based set of beliefs that also forbid eating meat hence Shania becoming a vegetarian after meeting Mutt as well.. Of course when the trashy tabloids got hold of the story they made the religion out to be some sort of cult that also didn't belief in sex during marriage lol. I remember hearing Shania joke about how did they have Eja then a few years later. Be interesting to know if she still follows this religion or is still even a vegetarian.
Shania doesn't practice Sant Mat anymore, as one of the requirements of that is to abstain from alcohol and as we've clearly seen on her Why Not docu-series, she's drinking wine. She's still a vegetarian as it's a lifestyle choice she's made for herself and her son.
As long as she believes in what Jesus Christ was sent here to do by saving all of our sins, I would be very happy! I wish she would talk more about God in her songs!

Butter neither I Christian don't worry we won't go to hell Ha. She is a public figure so I don't find it wrong people will get these kind of questions about her.
Butters; I believe I can state what I want when I want. You should really act your age and posting filthy language like you did shows who you really are. Your true colors spill out! I know where I stand in the eys of God, and you saying what you said tells me you will go there. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm gonna have to agree with Butters on this even if I wouldn't use the same language. Shania Twain is not a gospel singer nor is she running for public office. The closest thing to a gospel song that she released was God Bless The Child with Take 6 back in the 90s. She mentions God in She's Just Not A Pretty Face, Is There Life After Love?, If It Don't Take Two and explores moral dilemmas from a possibly Christian perspective in I Ain't Goin' Down. You're Still The One and From This Moment On talks about long term love, one of Christianity's tenets. Let's be greatful for these spiritual moments on Shania's behalf. If you want to hear country pop gospel buy yourself some Amy Grant, Patty Loveless or even Elvis himself. I believe in God, Jesus...but religion is a deeply personal thing. I find it rude and presumptious that you come on this secular board to demand that we all, including Shania, be Christians. Worry more about yourself and let the Lord take care of the rest. Good night and God bless.
