Wow, that would be awesome to be able to do this. Very fun way of getting people to donate to her charity. Although if you read the fine print, it says you can bring one small item for her to sign. Seems like if you gave several thousand dollars to her charity, she'd be willing to sign whatever you want her to.

Yeah, this is way out of range for the ordinary people I guess. I like the idea of selling some sort of lottery tickets, and just announce a winner from all the tickets sold. This way everybody will have a chance. And if you're rich, you'll just buy a thousand tickets ;) .
About signing the items, I guess they don't really mind what you bring for her to sign. I mean, what is small?

Maybe they want to prevent people bringing big items that would be worth a lot of money after it has been signed. Like a guitar (she did sign mine tough, but that one is not for sale). If she signs a good guitar, and you can sell it online for like 5000 dollars (just naming a price). If you win the auction at 4000 dollars, that would mean you can raise money yourself by bidding on the item.

Well I would have bid myself...but hell I don't play tennis (unless ping pong counts) You don't get an amazing body like me doing stuff like exercising....ha! Next time she needs to put a bid up so one of her lucky fans can take her on in something cool...like mud wrestling! I would take out a mortgage on the house for that! Do you think that it is Las Vegas that Andy Garcia was the one who one the auction??? Just food for thought! Well my friends keep the rubber side down (that means drive safe)....until next time, have a good one!

Hi guys,

Well it's me playing tennis with Shania and Fred. I am beyond excited and can't wait for the game !

I will be taking my daughter Sarah to play with me. We are flying over from the UK to play. I last met Shania before her Hyde Park show in 2003 after winning a competition to meet her, she was so lovely that day she had a fan for life after that.

Just thinking that we are going to be playing a pretty talented pair across the net on the day, but never mind, it's not about winning ! Need more practice lol.

Yeah, Robin Leach mentioned it in his SKC Clubhouse article last night.

Tennis Fundraiser a Huge Success!

November 6, 2013

November 1st, marked the first of many great fundraisers that Shania Kids Can will be hosting. Shania, and her husband Fred, played doubles against two different teams that were the successful bidders (each donating $8500) in the online auction hosted by Charitybuzz during the month of October. Andy and Sarah Greene flew in from England for the event, and Kap Dilawri and Susan Noel made the trip from Canada to participate.

The funds raised from this event will benefit the kids participating in the programs, ensuring they are given the skills necessary to succeed! For more information on this amazing program, please visit the Shania Kids Can website at www.shaniakidscan.com.
