Needless to say when does tour again she will have to do alot of these songs again...It never matters how good ones new CD might be, the demand to hear the old stuff never stops..This is the case with all big acts still today...Fans cling to the old stuff and love it...Based on an average of 25 song concert I can see maybe 5 off the new CD.....My call....She will open with the classic...Whose bed have your boots been under. Alot of the show will feature the same stuff though so if you missed it the first time...Don't fret...Bob
Yes Bob, it is wonderful to go down memory lane to this concert. It was great. I wonder if she will again play for 2 hours when she tours again. She had problems with her voice near the end there. I too hope she will play a lot of the old stuff. Your right the fans demand it. Thanx for posting.
Hey lulu..As you know my position has always been that the big difference this time will be the tour..It is one thing to put out a great CD..Something totally different to tour it..You know we are safe in Canada but with the exception of the US my call is...that is it.. I think you gotta look at who is out there today doing world tours..."Up" style world tours...REALLY...REAL QUICK....Not many...Sorry folks outside of North America..I just don't see it...My call still stands at somewhere in the area of 5-10 major canadian cities....Maybe 20 in the US over 2-3 months...THATS IT....Bob
Bob,i couldn't agree more,you are right. i have the same feeing about shania's next tour,it ii will be smaller, and who knows, maybe that will make it even better.
on the last concert of the UP tour, shania's sis said that the next tour will be smaller,and that it won't be another tour like UP. shania was tired afterwards,and it is totally normal,that tour was overwhelming,and even caused shania a back problem.
and i know that now that Eja is older, shania would hate to be far from him,but he's got to be in school,so she won't be on the road for many months(imo). this is another reason why i will visit the Sates or Canada,i have to see shania in concert,i already regret that i missed the UP tour.
this time i will catch her,with a little help from my friends (you guys)who will get the tickets for me,of course i will pay for those when i come there,don't you worry.

Hey Lulu...Actually the concert that I referred to was in the area 2.5 hours but it was in the early part of the tour..It was somewhat shortened in the late stages..I think she realizes it was way to demanding and way too agressive and I really don't think she will make the same mistake again...As I said we are covered in Canada no doubt, but alot of our US friends will have a little further drive maybe this time. Mid size cities..(.Cleveland ,Buffalo)....Don't think so...What I think you will see is large centres(chicago,Newyork) running 3 or 4 shows...Less travel for her but still good gate sales to cover the tour costs...It does mean maybe a long drive from say..Detroit for example though. If she can get the big sales out of 20 US locations and force her fans to travel to her then I think she will do it...Kind of like my Eagles...4 shows in Atlanta..Take a rest..and then move on for another four shows in another venue...Makes sense to me and I think it will to her...Bob
I remember the set list for Hyde Park been very similar to the Chicago special that came out on DVD.When I saw her later on in the tour I think she had dropped some songs and her voice was more strained for sure. I just think she needed to spread the tour out longer and take more time of between gigs. I do think we'll see less shows on the next tour as she needs to take care of her voice and body.
Hey Timmins lover...Hope you don't feel put down by my no britian/europe comment...I just think once she puts even one foot in the door(say London) ,then how can she ignore the other close by nations without offending them..The expression that the world is getting to be a smaller place is true but it is still dam big and I think overpowering for her at this stage. NOW...Country gal...You sure know how to ruin a hot date..Don't tell me you are one of those free spirited type gals that pay for your own meal on a date.. NO WAY...The tickets are on me...Thats how us canadian guys do things...OK...You can pay for the pepsi during the show...After the first 10 songs we will likely need it. NOW...Little Lulu... You better be in on this..You have been talking about it ALONG time... I figure I can count on Joe and Chris for sure BESIDES..No way they will leave me with these two..(a greek girl and a nurse) YIKES .Timmins Lover..FOR SURE. I will work on Angie..She will work on Tommy OK....I can already hear the howling BUT...TORONTO is the central spot...I can hear it already...SURE BOB...2 hour car drive for you...WELL...That is true...BUT... It is the most central for Lulu coming from west coast(5 hours) and Country gal from east(8 hours)...Not too bad for Tommy from the south(3 hours),Timmins lover from England(6 hours),2nd and Chris from(Penn and Ohio)(2 hours)...OH...That is flying of course.. OTHER BENEFITS...Closest to Deerhurst and Timmins...Great concert facility ..AND it is always a homecoming for her...Friends/relatives etc... The other option...Hamilton...About one hour....By the way..Something about copps collisium in Hamilton..IT IS A NUTHOUSE...and they are Shania FREAKS. ANYHOW... I actually think this will work...The tour will be over the fall/winter so air fair would be low as well as hotels....Hey like they say...You can't take it with you...Bob

Lol to all the postings. I think it would be a riot to be at a concert together. It sounds like Hamilton or Toronto might be it. I think Jim and I would seriously consider this. It will be great to see Shania live with all of you there. I would really like that.

I wonder if Shania will continue opening all her shows with MIFLAW? Will she ever change that? I think Shania will have a huge tour again. She's been a way so long, I think she'll come back with a bang! She will tour many places in Canada and US, tour Europe, and maybe Japan and Australia. She will be more careful this time and space out the legs of the tour so she can stay healthy. One thing for sure, she pushed herself hard last time and tried to make it a solid effort, COO tour part 2, but as healthy as she lives, it's not easy to go that full throttle at 38 and especially now coming on 43!
