Amanda your missing the point,i don't believe Shania is dating Hardy.My point is that the author that you posted and upup referred to is trying to insinuate that Shania was having a affair,im just saying when Shania and lets say she starts to date John Doe that the press may start to dig,they talk to John Doe's friends someone may have seen Shania and John Doe out to dinner or at a hockey game or after Shania announced that she was splitting up from Mutt she went on a vacation, the press may check to see if John Doe was registered at the same resort.Im just saying that maybe what the press is waiting for by saying there's more to come

So back in March Shania is seen opening the trail in NZ while Mutt is taking up Shania's band members for helicopter rides, and she already knew of the affair? This is where people want to go with the story?

I don't know if she knew of the affair then but she was seperated from Mutt by then. Even a blog from an industry insider said in March that Shania and Mutt were seperated and were getting a divorce.
So it was known within industry insiders that Shania and Mutt were split back in march even and� probably even before that.
Shania and Mutt probably kept it hidden until they were ready to make the announcement. Being seen in new Zelanad in March mean nothing. They could of done that to portray to the media nothing was wrong. And they had obligations in New Zealand and appoinments to keep.
They could of been living seperate lives for quite some time and and living in seperate beds.

As far as Shania finding out about the actual affair, it could of been at anytime after March, people magazine said it was�1month before May.
But lets not act as if they were so in love and then all of a sudden Mutt was banging the secretary. They were still married but seperated and that still may of pissed off Shania.
I still think Mutt is a coward in my opinion for the way he never defended his wife in anything she did in her whole career.He was selfish because he refused to be seen with Shania because he didn't like the spotlight.
I am sure he could of put aside his selfish feelings for attending a few events with Shania like when she was honored and given the Order of Canada.

this is the best explanation i can find,they were separated and Mutt moved on rather quickly.

and i totally agree about Mutt's selfishness,he should have been there with Shania when she was given the OOC,because just like shania said this was not an award she received as an entertainer but as a Canadian.

well guys I don't think shania had an affair and I don't think she's dating yet, and IF Mutt had an affair then hell with him..... in my opinion shania is a good person(things will be exposed with time and I feel that she won't let me down).... I love her and I'll always be a fan of her....... I mean she wrote my feelings,made me have fun and gave me good thoughts and advices ,and I'm also very aware that her personal life is not of my business..........so I'm not going to dicuss these personal matters anymore until she comes to public and say something......

I can't believe I agree with a post from Kevy! I always looked at Shania's last songs and wondered about her own life. Forever and always I think that was for Mutt and the way she felt love should be. Then there was " Don't". Such a different song for her actually depressing don't argue, don't fight. Another message for Mutt? She looked beautiful at the Cma's but if you looked at her eyes , I could almost see the pain and hurt that she has been through.

Shania accepted the fact Mutt didn't want to be in the public eye and it was fine by her, if if he didn't go to award shows and stuff. She made a lot of sacrafices for him let it be said.

True, I think Shania accepted it as it was for the public image that it did not bother her, but deep down inside, moments when Nashville critics were on her case, or moments of glory like when she won EOTY in 1999, or winning those first awards in 1995 and 1996, Order of Canada, she deep down inside must have felt bad that the one man who meant so much for all this was sitting at home or working with other people, not there to support his wife. Not to receive that hug. Sad really but we all accepted it because we thought they had an understanding between each other.

I think Shania is very honest for the most part, she tells people a lot of things you wouldn't expect, but she also protects herself when nosy people don't have to know what she really feels. Again, this is a perfect example. Why would she tell the press something like "I wish my husband would come out more and support me publicly" that would raise eyebrows unnecessarily and put herself and him on the spot.

It's like her speech after winning EOTY, she said I miss my husband but he understands.

Yup, cuz in other interviews she says how much the award thing isn't all that important but if she wins she likes to call Mutt and tell him the good news, yay I won, sort of thing. And his replies are oh good. Like yippie do da. I'm sure Shania wished Mutt was around once in a while even if they came to an understanding and she accepted the Mutt way. Probably a good reason why you see Shania's sister a lot over the years, I bet she made her feel good being around.

No I have not heard of her either. For what its worth I don't think Shania felt separated from Mutt for a long time. She found out in early May about the affair. When Mutt released the statement they "had drifted apart", She made sure the truth about why she left Switzerland be made known. She left because of the affair, no other reason and I do believe she was devasted by it. This is all in the past now. She looked radient at the CMA's I believe she is ready to come back and hopefully in the new year we will hear more about her comeback. However having said that, I still think we will see a single in late August and a release of a cd in November. JMO

As I have said before,�Shania would not have dragged his name, or her friend's name through the mud without justification, no matter how bitter she felt. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to see Shania at the CMA's and 2009 will hopefully be a big turnaround for her and those music hits�keep coming.

Kev is right, some UK sources indicate they separated last year, so Shania may have known of the affair months in advance before making the news public.
