One of my friends is editing a concert thats probably going to air on public television, and the singers are covering Simon & Garfunkels Cecilia - but the group opted to change a few lyrics just to be safe. So, instead of relatively harmless lines about making love in the bedroom, they are now earnestly crooning about making lunch in my lunch room. I have been laughing about that all morning, and now Ive been thinking about pitching them some country songs for their show.
Shania Twains songs would be perfect for this: (If Youre Not in It for Lunch) Im Outta Here! You Win My Lunch, Lunch Gets Me Every Time and Im Holdin on to Lunch (To Save My Life).
Or how about Its Your Lunch by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill? (It just does something to me it sends a shock right through me ) or maybe Lets Make Lunch.
Lunch Without End, Amen, by George Strait (Let me tell you a secret about a fathers lunch ) or maybe Carrying Your Lunch With Me (Baby all I got is this beat-up leather bag ) I also like You Looked So Good at Lunch.
I hope Im not ruining these Judds songs for you: Let Me Tell You About Lunch, Lunch Is Alive, Give a Little Lunch, Young Lunch and of course, Lunch Can Build a Bridge. (Dont you think its time? Dont you think its time.)
I could go on and on, but Im kind of getting hungry. So Ill fork it over to the readers. Any tips?
