Can anyone think of music stars that have taken breaks in their careers, and how long before they come back? Just curious about that and the reasons for their breaks.
Well the eagles split up and did some solo albums,I don't think any of them did much for years now they have returned.Cher i believe after she went solo was big than disappeared for years came back again then disappeared again.He's not a singer but John Travolta was huge in the 70's didn't here from him threw the 80's than did Pulp Fiction in the early 90's and his career took off again.As far as the reasons for the breaks just a guess but they have tons of money and want to enjoy life.
Aaliyah had break after her album "One In A Milion". She released it in 1996 and her next album went out only in 2001. I saw an interview where she explained the break by saying she didn't want her fans to get tired of her. But during that break she acted in 2 movies. So it's not like she just disappeared in general, but she didn't make new music for some time.
Sade has not come out with an album in almost ten years. Anita Baker did the same thing. Both ladies cited family reasons and obligations for the long breaks. So give it time.
