What makes you all think they quit? She probably wanted change and they got all sooky. She's making a lot of changes on purpose . Maybe she is even tired of the same production tour. Don't assume they quit
Cory and Derek have been with her for years. They are the best in the business. Doesn't make sense she would fire them. Maybe it has something to do with money.
They are amazing. I don't disagree but she's also hired some new people. It might be a money issue. It's difficult to speculate on what actually happened. She's doing alot of headlining festivals and Vegas so if the entire production crew quits then we have trouble. I'm trying to figure out why both have left or if she replaced them. This is confusing.
I think us speculating doesn’t solve anything tbh. Maybe it’s just a choice now to focus on their own things with no hard feeling and mutual respect involved! Looking forward to the ‘new sound’ in Vegas and the UK. So excited for Hyde Park ❤️
Them unfollowing her on Instagram is very suspicious. If they left on good terms I don't see them doing that especially Cory. I bet she fired them or there was some sort of dispute involving pay.

No hard feelings and mutual respect? Then why would Cory and Derek BOTH unfollow Shania on Instagram? Something's up! (no pun intended)

Shania and Eja liked Cory's parting message. Additionally, Cory and Derek make it clear that it is THEIR choice to pursue their own careers. So Shania probably didn't fire them. It must have rather destabilized her.

Brent is replacing Cory. It's not like Brent doesn't have the experience. He was a band member for Shania Twain on her Come on over and up tour. He was one of my band favorites back in the day. I am not sure why people think Shania can't do amazing without Cory And Derek because Brent is extremely talented and will do a good job. Let's give the guy a chance
I have thought about these changes overnight and at the end of the day it might be a good thing to change things a little bit. Something new and fresh (let's hope...) could do good to Shania and her songs. There won't be any "new" songs in the setlist, so maybe she will change the production of the songs a little bit (I'd LOVE to hear a more acoustic sound, a more country feeling, where I think she gives her best).
My friend asked Brent a question about two members leaving the band and he replied and said definitely some exciting changes. Was on a instagram post with the Churchill park post. So exciting means what?

Maybe Shania replaced Cory with Brent as the director and Cory didn't like it and quit? Possible.

Let's say that happened. Derek would quit AND unfollow her too???

Maybe Derek didn't quit. Maybe he wasn't asked to do the new Vegas residency. Anything is possible but I agree the "unfollowing" is off and strange. Especially when Cory and Shania have been close to one another for close to 30 years.
Here comes the next adventure💫… onward to Vegas to smash with @shaniatwain .. with some UK/EU festivals happily sprinkled in, yesss! I surely hope to see y’all along the way… lookin forward to the (full) expansion in the desert 🏜️ grateful to continue the musical journey, keepin ma eyes to the sky and heart wide.. ((Let’s go!))
Someone recently commented on Derek Frank's YouTube video from last year about the QoM tour guitar and bass setup asking him why he and Cory left the band and this was his response:
Apparently Shania is trying to save money and everything will be prerecorded.
How things change... the "old" Shania would have never tried to save money on a live show. The music has always been at the center of the show (as it should be...). Today it's more important to wear ridiculous wigs and costumes than to deliver a good live show.
Pre-recorded voice tracks, pre-recorded band tracks. I listen to the album and save lot of money.
Anyway, it's not very nice of Derek to say these things...
That’s what i am worried about. Although Cory has the huge responsibility of the poor sound mixing in QoM tour, he is still the one who knows her music and singing skills really well.
I wonder how much Fred is involved in this matter, but I would say Fred is a black sheep in Shania’s career. What I observe is Fred is intervening her career in a way too much. And yes, I don’t like their couple’s image, it’s like making Fred an impresario (he wishes)
By the way, I don’t like the photos he takes during QoM tour. It’s so amateur.
Kinda sad she's shrinking the band. Sounds like she let Corey And Derek go. As for money figured she made enough already. Gonna be quite obvious she's lip syncing with hardly no band
I was skeptical about it at first but Derek's comment is in line with Brent Barcus' new smaller band comment.
We don't know exactly what went on but it does appear that she let them go or they were fed up with all of her new changes and left.
And yes, the "old" Shania even as recently as just a few years ago would have never been okay with any of this.
She has always pushed the limits with style and fashion but the wigs and costumes are extremely off brand for her and don't fit her persona at all.
I'm also concerned that it seems they haven't started rehearsals yet or only started this week based on Lindsey Ell's packing video. With the band being almost entirely new and with a new music director I would imagine they we need a lot more time. Unless everything is prerecorded and they are just going to go though the motions. I know for the first residency based on the OWN documentary she spent months rehearsing and getting ready for the show.
We will see what the show looks and sounds like but I'm not optimistic about it.

Same bullsh*t, different show. Ridiculous! Shania should be embarrassed!

What I don't get is a few months back she did an interview where she oddly said her Vegas show is competing with restaurants and she was worried that people may choose to go a nice restaurant instead of her show and because of that, her show needed to be amazing.
If she was so worried about that she wouldn't be using prerecorded tracks for the band.

No kidding she made enough lol she is worth hundreds of millions.
I'm thinking some updated pre recorded tracks and some old ones. Her voice isn't able to do a live show like before. I think there will be some acoustic versions live but she doesn't need a big band to put on a good show. Vegas isn't about your voice it's about the style and production

She sold a 75+ dates Tour out and she's selling out the Summer shows in UK, Ireland and Canada. What does she need to save money for??? I don't get it
Shania made enough to retire and her family to retire hundred times over. SHE is worth close to 500 million. But she is a business woman and doesn't spend money if she can save a bit in some areas. Also don't believe everything you read
Let’s remember- there are 2 sides to every story. I have my doubts that this is the full story. Shania is worth like $400 million. The amount of money these two guys would have been paid is a drop in the bucket to her. There is more to this story. Maybe Shania is upset with all of the issues during the tour and decided to make a change and this is the story to save face. We don’t know.

I agree with you. We don't know the whole story so let's not overreact about it.
I agree the Queen of me tour had a lot of sound issues and if Cory is the music director wouldn't he fix the problems? I think Shania using a backing track is better suited for Vegas anyway. I have no doubt the Show will be spectacular and it had nothing to do with Shania saving some money. I really believe she wanted a change up. I also love that the same drummer will be returning because she's absolutely fabulous. I think Brent will do an amazing job. It's time to just wait and see how the first few shows go. There will be many reviews for Vegas. Brent is playing guitar at the headliner festivals which indicates those might be more live and pre recorded

She? Shania never had a female drummer. You mean Elijah wood who dresses like a female? He is a biological man. I am confused, is there another drummer I don't know about? Granted I haven't followed her last year.

Shania has another he/she drummer. Tif (Teddy) Lamson.

Others may not feel the same way, but I’m glad Cory isn’t director this round. He has been great…. But artist’s need to switch it up to keep it fresh. It doesn’t matter the personal relationship.
I have sometimes wondered if Shania and Cory are too comfortable; as in they don’t push each other outside of professional comfort zones.

Paul is going to be the problem, He screams and it overshadows Shanias lip syncing. I just don't think he's Vegas material
During the QoM tour, he was singing Shania's part in many of the songs and really stood out including MIFLAW when it sounded like Shania was mimimg to his voice. I'm curious to see how much of this is his voice or if the shoddy sound engineering was to blame.
Placing bets on this being my best Vegas Residency yet! One week until we move into @phvegas @bakkttheaterlv and throw a HITS party 🤠 I can't wait! Who's coming?? Dates here:www.shaniatwain.com/tour

Shania Twain takes over Las Vegas with a new residency
By Matt Kelemen | Las Vegas Magazine | May 6, 2024
The impetus of Shania Twain’s latest Las Vegas residency is a life force she’s been feeling, which is not all that different than the energy that drove the landmark album it’s named after. Twain released Come On Over, her third collaboration with producer and then-husband Mutt Lange, in November 1997. It was a deliberate departure from her first two albums, which were aimed at country music audiences even if they drew on pop songwriting sensibilities and rock production methods.
This time Twain drew on the spectrum of styles she absorbed while growing up as a performer, taking a chance she could expand her fandom without alienating core listeners, or further alienating the country music industry at large after her second studio album, The Woman in Me, enjoyed crossover success. “I got a lot of criticism questioning my authenticity as a country artist, and I was foreign,” Ontario-born Twain said on the April 3 edition of music podcast Song Exploder. “I wasn’t American, never mind I wasn’t Southern. So I was offensive to some of them and they made it pretty clear, but I knew I belonged there because those were my roots.”
Twain favored Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and George Jones as a performing preteen. “That is in me,” she said. “But I wanted to be my own artist, and the music was going to be a hybrid of all of my influences, stylistically—R&B, rock, folk and, of course, country.”
That hybrid came to full fruition with Come On Over. Hit singles including “You’re Still the One,” “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and the title track contributed to it becoming the biggest-selling album by a female solo artist of all time, according to Guinness World Records. The video for “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” paid homage to Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love” video,” with an all-male backing band in place of Palmer’s iconic femme fatales.
At 58, Twain has seen Taylor Swift follow in her footsteps and take crossing over from country to places previously uncharted. She released her latest album, Queen of Me, a harbinger of the self-celebration to come, last year. Twain feels free to walk around the house naked if she wants, to dye her hair pink or wear a blonde wig, or to show off the results of a diet and exercise regime for a Haute Living photo shoot.
Twain’s previous Vegas residencies were hardly no-frills affairs when it came to set design and wardrobe, but this time she wants to contemporize her show in terms of tech and taste. She wants fashion-forward designs that will dazzle even in comparison to the elaborate couture she donned for her previous Planet Hollywood residency Let’s Go!
And she plans on mixing up the set lists and song orders night to night. Whatever is driving her, Twain is filled with the spirit that inspired her ascension to stardom and the resilience that kept her there. It’s that spirit that audiences will receive at Come On Over.
We’re officially moved in and ready to party! Counting down the days until you join us for Come On Over - All The Hits opening night!! 💫shaniatwain.com/tour
