And how "Dirty Rosie" is (or is not) doing on the iTunes Country chart.

Hi ! Yes unfortunately only 180 000 streams on Spotify in 2 and a half days   😭 it is VERY weak. The lyric song is only at 83k views right now On YouTube..Very far from other lead single eras…but as many of you already said this song is at best « average » and the vocals are very rough .. so it is not very surprising. Hopefully a good live performance will boost streams and sales because she is currently OUT in all iTunes Charts except Canada #31 and Australia #105…

The song charted as high as #22 on the iTunes country charts in the US but it is currently at #57 at the moment. Wow! Those streaming numbers are so low :(

She needs to release a new single as soon as possible. This one isn't going anywhere and there's no way the streaming will improve. It's definitely unlistenable, Idk why she or her label thought it could be strong enough to be picked up as lead single.
Let's hope she will perform Little Miss Twain tonight at the ACM and then release it. The clip she posted the other day sounded much better

Lol, I cannot get "Dirty Rosie" out of my head so I very much disagree that its unlistenable. I think Shania's at an age where she's just happy to still be releasing music and doesn't care too much about how well it does. Especially because she released it on a Wednesday instead of on Friday when the tracking week begins.

Dirty Rosie has grown on me as a fan but in terms of listenability for the general country music audience it’s not good at all. Her voice is so over processed and hard to understand. It sounds like a demo she made in her basement and had to push out because she had a deadline with the label.

I really question her selection of singles since her comeback in 2017. There are so many other songs on each of her albums that I feel would have been stronger selections. My other main criticism of her music since Now is that many songs are under three minutes or just barely over.

My hope that if she performs tonight, she will do her usual medley and do one verse and chorus of Dirty Rosie rather than the full song. The full song by itself would be a twainwreck live at an awards show. I think performing Little Miss Twain live with Tanya Tucker would be much stronger.

Brent Barcus is still home in Tennessee getting his guitars and equipment ready to fly to London for Shania's gig with Harry Styles. So if the band isn't in Las Vegas for the awards tonight, it doesn't look like she'll be performing. Unless she uses a total pre-recorded backing track.

Or she may use someone else's band. Maybe Tanya's...

That would be strange to use a different band for her song when she has her own. Wouldn't make sense. Does Tanya even have a band?

When she has performed at award shows in the past several years, I think the instrumentals were prerecorded and she had a heavy emphasis on dancers instead. Like there were no visible musicians in the AMAs 2019 performance and 2022 People‘s Choice Perfomance.

I really think she's only the host today.

The duet with Tanya seems to be the next single, as she post some clips, and in my opinion there will be a 3rd single launching the album that will be the focus single, but this album as I said before it's gonna be more country influenced and not as international as the others, sure it will sell as she has worldwide fans, but not promoted everywhere.

If Republic/Universal were looking for highest numbers it would make more sense to released it in November for black Friday & Christmas sales.

It's almost certain she won't sing, since she said she's more relaxed than those who do. She'll be able to talk about the new music in interviews, which is already great (singing live wouldn't boost sales, and might even have the opposite effect). But I'm sure there will be a "deluxe" version or one with duets, a new song with Harry Styles for example, at the end of the year. And maybe even a Christmas album!

I feel like she’s more likely to debut the music video tonight during the awards show - she’s definitely not performing.

A 3rd single? That would be a miracle, she only released two singles from Queen of Me and despite the top 10 AC chart of Giddy Up she didn’t go further. I’m not even so sure that we’re going to get a proper music video for “Dirty Rosie”…I know that she released some snippets but i suspect that she might have filmed several short videos (the Little Miss Twain/ Axe scene / the Dirty Rose sequence shot) all in one day just for the social media marketing. I hope to be wrong but unfortunately music videos aren’t needed for success or chart promotion anymore.

Talking about 3rd single was just counting dirty rosie actually, little miss twain maybe in june and the 3 songs when she releases the album and this one, really promoted and with video. Not singles like in early years, actually they use to put 2-3 songs before the album release and stop promotion.

She posted a new clip of the recording process for Dirty Rosie on Spotify.

Her voice is much clearer! Why didn’t they choose this version instead of the final one? It’s as if they were deliberately going for that old radio effect in the final mix, which I think ultimately makes the song less enjoyable to listen to.

I’m really hoping we get a companion documentary or book tied to this album that takes a deeper look at Shania’s youth.

Over the years, in interviews and in From This Moment On, she has often spoken about her childhood through the lens of hardship—particularly the abuse, instability, and poverty that she and her siblings endured.

What feels different about this album rollout is that she seems to be revisiting those years from a more positive and reflective perspective, sharing memories and influences from that time in a new light. I would love to see a deeper exploration of this side of her story and how those experiences shaped both her and the music on this album.

They changed the artwork on the sales websites so that the other songs on the album could no longer be distinguished.

Singles Spotlight

By Felix Hughes | NEXT Magazine - Canada | May 20, 2026

Who: Shania Twain
What: Dirty Rosie
When: Wed., May 13
Genre: Country
Rating: NNN (out of 5)
Why you should listen: With the announcement of her seventh album Little Miss Twain, Shania Twain releases the lead single from that album, Dirty Rosie. The song begins with Twain on the banjo as she brings vocals full of a tough country-strong presence. She and the banjo are then joined by a subtle drum beat and a less subtle electric guitar. It’s a fun time though one that ultimately feels like it’s lacking that extra bit of energy to make it truly feel like a classic lead single from Twain. Instead, the whole thing goes out with a hush rather than a triumphant bang, as if the song needed an extra minute or so to close out the way it should.

One week in, how does everyone feel about Dirty Rosie now? I had a mixed reaction to it on my first listen but since learning the lyrics, it has totally clicked for me and I loved it, it's been stuck in my head. Especially the bridge and chorus. It's a great windows down, sunny day, driving song.

I don't listen to it at all. One of her worst songs ever for me.

Any streaming updates? It’s not even in her top ten daily streamed songs on Spotify.

For me, the song isn't bad, but it's just ordinary, nothing special. It doesn't spark any enthusiasm or create any connection. It's a poor first single because it should have made people want to discover the rest of the album; instead, it's rather off-putting.

Yes after a week just 362,000 Spotify streams. It is a disastrous first week..

Wow, that is awful!!! I guess it's safe to say it won't be charting on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
