Bad news. Kelsea Ballerini also has a new song coming out next Friday, June 26 featuring Marshmello titled "Another Drink". It's a banger and will probably blow "Little Miss Twain" out of the water on the streaming platforms.

As much as I love both TDIMM and MIFLAW is kind of annoying that those two and YASTO are the only songs mentioned in all her interviews! She had 12 singles taken from Come on Over and Up! album was a massive success in both Europe and America…and we all know that we’re not getting music video for Dirty Rosie 😧

I think everyone needs to not look at the numbers. Shania is in her 60’s. The industry is against her. As fans we should just be happy

I disagree. Using the title bad news is kinda insulting. It's like saying the song is Terrible. Everyone has there opinion but personally Little Miss Twain sounds like it could be Shanias best works she's done in years. Her voice and emotion is going to make this song stand out. It doesn't have to be a hit to be a great song.  I am not here to compare her work to anyone else. I am 22 and only started listening to Shania two years ago. There's just something about this song that touches me deeper than her most recent work. My personal opinion is that this song is going to do okay and if it doesn't I do not care. It isn't about the charts to me it is about the music. People need to stop worrying. The song will do fine

Shania Twain's new album takes her back home

'Little Miss Twain is so much about the little girl I was in Timmins,' singer says

One of the greatest selling artists of all-time, Shania Twain, is releasing a brand new album, called “Little Miss Twain” on July 24. It will be her first album since “Queen of Me” in 2023.

“When I was introduced on stage, I was often introduced as ‘Little Miss Twain,'” she said in a video on her social media accounts talking about the inspiration behind the new album, which she called “a full circle” as well as “an homage to my roots, my youth, and my mother.”

“’Little Miss Twain’ is so much about the little girl I was in Timmins. The roads I grew up on, the bars I sang in, the hours I would spend in the bush, and all of the big dreams that started in a very small place.”

One of the singles on the album is called “Dirty Rosie” which is a nod to the fond memories of a beat-up pick-up truck she and her family worked with in the bush around Timmins.

In an Instagram post, Twain said there is a special edition of the new album, which could hold some extra sentiment for those from the city.

“The Mattagami River Edition of the album felt like the perfect way to honour that part of my story. It has a special cover, a beautiful exclusive vinyl colour, printed inners and a bonus track called ‘We Just Met’ that you won’t hear anywhere else.”

It can be pre-ordered, exclusively on Shania’s online store.

Twain is currently playing a massive series of shows at Wembley Stadium in London, England until July 4.

Shania last played her hometown with a massive concert on July 1, 1999 in Hollinger Park to a reported crowd of over 20,000 spectators.

Timmins Festivals and Events Committee (TFEC) chair John Olaveson told The Daily Press that making another Shania show a reality is about simple economics.

“TFEC has always generally entertained the idea of bringing Shania Twain back to Timmins, if it would work economically,” he said.

“We’ve looked into it multiple times. She’s still active in touring. I believe last year she set a record for attendance at the Calgary Stampede, so she’s still very popular.”

Olaveson said it’s a very difficult task to achieve.

“It could be possible, but all of the scheduling would have to line up, and it would be something that would have to be in the works for at least a year or two.”

Olaveson pointed to one of this year’s headliners – The Offspring – as being a band that took about three years to book, after many negotiations.

“We’d love it, if she could,” he said.

“But there would be a lot of moving parts on that one, and we’d need a lot of help and support from the community, and the City of Timmins.”

“I just hope that if we ever did get her, that I’m still with the organization,” he said with a laugh.

He said with the right price point, it would still be a big risk for a non-profit organization.

“There are a few artists that our organization would risk that amount of money for, and she is one of them.”

He also said that with top level artists, the price tag comes accordingly, which can lead to some sticker shock.

I don’t necessarily agree with this. That means that every artist needs to play their home town for free? Madonna is obligated to play Bay City for free? Michael Bublé needs to perform in Vancouver for free? Don’t think so.

Putting on a show is EXPENSIVE - particularly somewhere remote like Timmins. While sure, an artist can afford it, it does set a precedent. Do it for one, why doesn’t another deserve it. Doesn’t matter if someone was born and raised in a city. People adopt other places as their home. Hell - Shania now has home bases in Vegas, Calgary (nearby)…. Does that mean she performs there too For free?

Shania has made her home in other places much longer than she lived in Timmins. Ya, sure, she lived there. She was born in Windsor. The point I’m making is that it would snowball.

According to that New Zealand Apple Music page, the title track will be #3 on the 15-song version and I guess it will be the first track on the vinyl/CD version based on pictures we saw.

I just heard "Little Miss Twain" (entire song). Eja also sings background vocals with Tanya Tucker. I connected to New Zealand and found the song on Shania's YouTube channel. Doesn't look like there's a lyric or music video yet. Just audio.

Like I mentioned earlier I cried and I have only heard the short version. Tommy how long is the song? Her Vocals haven't sounded this good in years and this is probably one of her best emotional songs to date

I really don't like the robotic sound at the beginning of the Apple Music preview clip. It sounds better after that. It definitely won't be a hit for me.
